I always love shooting engagement sessions on the Oregon Coast. It’s so fun seeing how the time of day, weather and other factors change the way an Oregon Coast photo shoot will look.
A couple months back, I did an Instagram giveaway for a one hour photo shoot. Chelsea won my giveaway and we got to celebrate her and Dillon’s engagement with a photo shoot at Cannon Beach.
We got to chatting and planning the details of their session. The weather was looking cloudy all weekend with a chance of rain, but Chelsea decided she wanted to roll with the punches and take whatever weather the Oregon Coast was going to give us.
We decided to meet about an hour before sunset, however there wasn’t much of a “golden hour” that day, due to the heavy clouds. We got a lot of beautiful photos with the overcast skies, which you’ll see in the gallery below.
But Chelsea and I had talked beforehand about blue hour – the time period right after the sun sets. We decided we’d stick around and try to catch some blue hour photos, and I’m so glad we did. Here are some of the photos from our Cannon Beach engagement session!
